Biography
Ulaş Birkan Çakılcı completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Istanbul University and his master’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration, also at Istanbul University. He received his PhD in Political Theory from East China Normal University in China as a scholarship recipient of the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye under Law No. 1416. His research focuses on the implications of China’s political and administrative structures for its foreign policy and global governance practices, its decision-making processes, and the ways in which China positions itself and assumes roles within the changing international order. He has been on the faculty at Social Sciences University of Ankara.
