Department of Political Science provides the conceptual and theoretical framework of political science. This department centers more on political philosophy. Classical and contemporary theorists and the main theoretical debates of political science are addressed. For example, the prominent study fields could be defined as state theories, social contract theories and its theorists, liberal theory, Marxist theory, conservatism, theories of democracy, and nationalism theories. The courses given by this department aims to provide the students the main theoretical debates in political science. By doing so, the students are expected to gain and develop the ability of abstraction, and analyze the political events from different perspectives.
