After attaining his bachelor’s (Economics (in English), Marmara University) and master’s (MBA, Koç University; Conflict Analysis and Resolution, Sabancı University) degrees, he received his Ph.D. in Political Science (The University of Georgia, USA). Dr. Bayar worked as a visiting assistant professor at Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, USA) and visiting fellow at German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) Institute for Middle East Studies (Hamburg, Germany). His works in comparative politics and international relations have been published by Global Governance, Turkish Studies, Ethnic and Racial Studies, Global Studies, Journal of Politics, Uluslararası İlişkiler-International Relations, Journal of Global South Studies and Palgrave Macmillan. In addition to having a total of five years of experience in audit and finance, Dr. Bayar has served at various administrative positions at ASBÜ, including the director of the Graduate School of Social Sciences.
