Senem Ertan Dilek is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the Social Sciences University of Ankara, Turkey. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science: Comparative and European Politics, from the University of Siena, Italy and a M.A. in Global Political Economy from the University of Kassel, Germany. She is a co-principal investigator in the WomanStats Project since September 2011. She has published many articles on gender politics and comparative politics in journals such as Politics and Gender, Social Indicators Research and Global Society. She has also published book chapters with publishers such as Palgrave Macmillan, Cambridge Scholars Publishing or Nova Science Publishers. Her recent research interests include gender policies, the politics of age of marriage in the US states, women’s NGOs, and comparative politics.
