Dr. Kılıç earned her doctoral (2016) and B.A. (2008) degrees from Bilkent University, Department of Political Science and Public Administration in Ankara. She worked and taught courses at Bilkent University, Political Science, and Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Political Science and International Relations departments. During her doctoral studies, she also worked part-time as a rapporteur for a short time period at the Center of Excellence Defence against Terrorism, a NATO-based institution in Turkey. She received scholarships from Bilkent University, the Council of Higher Education (Turkey), and The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey throughout her education and research. Her research interests range from comparative media and cultural studies, political communication, ideational analysis, Turkish political life and political sociology, print culture and book history. She has articles published in the Journal of Computer-mediated Communication, and Routledge.
