Yunus Şahbaz completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Ankara University. He received his master’s degree from Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and his PhD from Kırıkkale University. Between 2016 and 2026, he served at Kırıkkale University as a research assistant and later as an assistant professor. As of March 2026, Dr. Şahbaz joined the faculty of Social Sciences University of Ankara. His main research areas include Turkish political life, contemporary Turkish political thought, and particularly the Turkish right after 1960. In addition to his academic work, he is a member of the board of directors of the Siyasallılar Vakfı. Since 2020, he has also served as the editor-in-chief of Muhafazakâr Düşünce Dergisi.
